Robert Adamson
Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer | RWJ Barnabas Health

Dr. Robert T. Adamson is the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for RWJBarnabas Health. In this role he is responsible for strategic planning, technology leadership and vision for the health system and enabling information technology initiatives to execute health system strategic imperatives. He also maintains the role of Operational Leader for The EPIC Electronic Health Record implementation. In this current role he leads all operational aspects of the Epic implementation and provides strategic direction and overall management of the Epic implementation project.

Prior to taking his role in Sept. 2019 he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer for RWJBarnabas Health. His responsibilities included strategic planning for the pharmacy enterprise, designing, managing and improving the medication use system ensuring quality outcomes through performance-improvement activities, and fulfill the organization’s research, educational missions and pharmacy enterprise financial performance.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from St. John’s College of Pharmacy, he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy, where he is currently an adjunct instructor.

Dr. Adamson has conducted several disease research studies in the areas of infectious disease, oncology and oncology supportive care, and various internal medicine subjects. He is a recipient of the Greg Santora New Jersey Pharmacist of the Year Award, and was bestowed fellowship designation in 2014 by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, among a wealth of professional awards and honors. He has published widely in prestigious medical journals, serves on the editorial board of major periodicals in his field and has presented at more than 500 medical conferences nationally, internationally as well as on television.

Madeline M. Arter
Senior Consultant | Phronema Justice Strategies, L.L.C.

Madeline M. Arter, M.S., is a criminal justice consultant with a decade of policy and legislative affairs experience working in state and local corrections, policing, and mental health. She currently supports Phronema Justice Strategies, L.L.C. as an expert in translating research and evaluation into practical strategies for criminal justice reform. Formerly, Madeline worked as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and as a legislative Project Coordinator for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). Madeline is currently pursuing a doctorate in Criminology, Law & Society at George Mason University and is involved in research with GMU’s Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy, the Early Justice Strategies Lab, & and the Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence (ACE!).

Kaitlan Baston, MD, MSc, DFASAM
Center Head | Cooper Center for Healing, Division Head of Addiction Medicine

Kaitlan Baston, MD, MSc, DFASAM is the Center Head of the Cooper Center for Healing, Division Head of Addiction Medicine, and Medical Director of Government Relations at Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, and is dual boarded in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Kaitlan obtained a masters degree in Neuroscience from Kings College London and then graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She pursued full spectrum family medicine training with obstetrics in Seattle, Washington, with a concentration in maternal child health. Her work in primary care illuminated the stigma and marginalization associated with addiction, and she observed that both patients and medical professionals suffer from the lack of addiction medicine training and integration into healthcare. With the goals of community centered health care delivery, population health improvement, and hospital system quality improvement, she completed an American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) accredited fellowship in addiction medicine. Following her training, she returned to the east coast to begin her career. She became the medical director of Cooper’s addiction medicine program in 2015, and built what is now the Cooper Center for Healing, which includes integrated pain, addiction, and behavioral health care. As division head of addiction medicine within this center, Dr. Baston currently runs an inpatient addiction consult service, multiple outpatient specialty clinics, a wrap-around perinatal substance use disorder program, undergraduate and graduate medical education in addiction medicine, research, and several million dollars in grant funded programming. This work expanded to state and national level policy in the field of addiction medicine, and beyond. Currently, Dr. Baston is focused on work at a policy level to support state-funded programs for substance use disorder treatment and improvements in population health by addressing social determinants of health. In her role as Medical Director of Government Relations, she strives to ensure that all patients have access to compassionate care and evidence based medical treatments that allow them to live full and satisfying lives. Kaitlan is proud to work with an interdisciplinary team of like-minded, driven individuals at Cooper who are dedicated to making positive change in the healthcare system.

Gerry Blass
President, and CEO | NJ HIMSS Privacy, Security, and Compliance Committee

In 2002, serving as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a major healthcare system in New Jersey, Gerry knew he had a problem to solve. After years of manually documenting assessments and trying to keep track of thousands of pieces of data, it was time to build a better solution.

Using his experience as a CISO and HIPAA consultant, Gerry worked with his team to create a structured, automated tool for managing governance, risk and compliance in healthcare, and other industries.

Today, ComplyAssistant provides GRC software and healthcare cybersecurity service solutions to over 100 healthcare organizations of all sizes, focusing on HIPAA-HITECH-OMNIBUS, PCI, NIST, and other federal and state healthcare regulations.

Gerry currently co-chairs the NJ HIMSS Privacy, Security, and Compliance Committee and participates in national and local chapter events that include NY, NJ, and Delaware Valley.

Gerry regularly writes for healthcare compliance and health IT publications. He’s an active member, contributor, and speaker at industry association events with HIMSS, HFMA, NJPCA, NJAMHAA, and HCCA.

Timothy J. Bono, PhD
Lecturer | Washington University

Timothy J. Bono, PhD, is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. During his tenure, Tim has created a course on positive psychology, adult development and happiness where it has quickly become one of the university’s most in-demand classes. Tim has won several teaching awards and has distilled the life-changing lessons from his seminars into the book, “Happiness 101: Simple Secrets to Smart Living and Well-Being”. A masterclass of sorts that draws on scores of happiness-related studies to provide practical advice and innovative techniques that are scientifically proven to increase happiness.

An expert consultant on these topics, Tim has been featured in media outlets including CNN, Fast Company, The Associated Press, and several public radio stations. Over the last decade, thousands of students have taken Professor Bono’s popular courses on the Positive Psychology of Young Adulthood and the Science of Happiness.

Hans J. Buitendijk, M.Sc., FHL7
Director, Interoperability Strategy | Oracle Cerner

Hans Buitendijk has been involved in HIT for more than 35 years from the development of HIT solutions, client consulting on strategic IT planning, large scale business process re-engineering and systems integration bridging the gap between business process optimization and IT support, as well as improving interoperability across HIT within organizations and across at a national level. Hans started with Shared Medical Systems and by way of Siemens and Cerner is now part of Oracle.

As Director of Interoperability Strategy at Oracle Cerner, Hans currently focuses on establishing and propagating interoperability standards across the diverse systems prevalent in health IT. He represents Oracle Cerner in various industry organizations/initiatives to advance interoperability such as HL7, Argonaut, Da Vinci, HELIOS, EHRA, CARIN Alliance, CommonWell Health Alliance, Carequality, and The Sequoia Project, and is currently a member of ONC’s HIT Advisory Committee (HITAC).

Lizzie Bzdek
Senior Education and Quality Improvement Specialist | Remote Patient Monitoring and Integrated Care Transitions Teams

Lizzie Bzdek is current the Senior Education and Quality Improvement Specialist supporting the Remote Patient Monitoring and Integrated Care Transitions teams. For the previous 3 years, Lizzie has worked with the Remote Patient Monitoring Team supporting high-risk patients to learn how to manage their chronic conditions.

Before joining the Remote Patient Monitoring program Lizzie worked as a staff nurse for the Network. She received her BSN from Moravian College and her MSN in Nursing Leadership from Drexel University. She is a previous recipient of a Friends of Nursing award in 2014 and has been an active member of the RPM Workflow Committee helping to build out new workflows.

Jim Cavanagh
President and Principal Owner | Executive Healthcare Consulting

Jim Cavanagh is President and Principal Owner of Executive Healthcare Consulting. Jim has over 30 years of leadership experience in HIT and has combined a strong technology background with a keen understanding of the healthcare industry. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Jim has earned a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Jim has served as CIO for a large, urban healthcare system, provided board-level support of several HIEs, and has been an advisor to healthcare executives in the public and private sectors. Jim is a part-time professor at Rutgers University and has had numerous speaking engagements and publications regarding a variety of healthcare information technology topics.

Michael Chirico, Esq., CISA
Chief Information Security Officer | Saint Peter’s Healthcare System

A security and privacy professional, attorney and certified information systems auditor, Michael has a significant background in engineering effective strategies to meet the challenges of HIPAA privacy and security regulatory requirements, and other industry regulations. For the past twenty years, Michael has developed, implemented, and advised clients on organizational methodology, assessed organizational controls around change management, business continuity and disaster recovery, policy and procedure, business associate management, Sox 404 Compliance, and Service Organization Control Reporting.

Michael is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, in New Brunswick, NJ, and served for four years on the NJHIMSS Board, and has Co-Chaired the Security, Privacy and Compliance Committee.

Mike Dougherty
Clinical Application Development and Support Expert | Epic Patient Experience Team, Technology Division of LVHN

Mike Dougherty is a Clinical Application Development and Support Expert on the Epic Patient Experience Team within the Technology Division of LVHN and has been with the network since 2019. Mike has been the lead Technology Analyst supporting LVHN’s C.A.R.E.S. Remote Patient Monitoring Program over the past 4 ½ years. Mike oversaw the transition of LVHN’s RPM Program from a 3rd party vendor application to a solution that is now fully integrated into LVHN’s EMR with custom alert scoring and patient management solutions developed internally. Mike is Epic Ambulatory certified and when not working on RPM initiatives is also the lead analyst supporting LVHN’s automated appointment reminder application.

Dr. Rachel Haroz, MD, FAACT
Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine | Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and Division Head of Toxicology

Dr. Rachel Haroz, MD, FAACT is Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and Division Head of Toxicology and Addiction Medicine. She is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology and Addiction Medicine. She helped build and now staffs the Center for Healing at Cooper University Hospital in Camden New Jersey, a substance use disorder clinic dedicated to treating patients with compassion and evidence based medicine and an integrated clinic for patients with HIV and substance use disorders. In 2016 she helped create and implement BupeFirst ED, an initiative to prescribe buprenorphine from the Emergency Department and bridge patients to various community partners and in 2019 helped launch BupeFirst EMS, an innovative program aimed at initiating buprenorphine via paramedics in the field. She is also heavily involved in education internally as well as on a state and national level and spearheads multiple NJ state initiatives to better serve patients struggling with substance use disorders.

JT Howell, MD
Associate CMIO for Ambulatory EHR and Chair of Ambulatory Operations Committee | Penn Medicine

 J.T. is an Epic Ambulatory Analyst and Clarity Report Writer who has presented often at on subjects such as population health, Meaningful Use SmartTools, and ICD-10 SNOMED groupers. His areas of focus are ambulatory practice integration, clinical decision support, electronic clinical quality measures, discrete data integrity, strategic reporting integration. J.T. has published on topics in health maintenance, generic prescribing, and population health.

Dustin Hufford
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer | Cooper Applications

Mr. Hufford, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, previously served as the vice president of Cooper Applications. His health career spans 15 years serving in a number of leadership roles.

Prior to joining Cooper, Mr. Hufford served as chief information officer at Memorial Health Care System, a community hospital in North Western Ohio. After Memorial Health Care was acquired by Promedica Health system, he served as assistant vice president of Revenue Cycle and Business Systems where he oversaw the implementation of Promedica Health’s electronic health records system. He has experience leading large teams within several areas of IT including clinical, revenue cycle, business systems, and technology. In addition to his experience working with health care providers, he has a background in consulting work where he executed IT strategic planning engagements, merger and acquisition evaluations, and post-merger integrations.

Since 2015, Mr. Hufford has led IT through several large scale implementations including telemedicine, revenue cycle and clinical optimizations, and the migration to cloud-based services. He is now leading a digital transformation initiative with the goal of providing excellent digital experiences for employees, providers, and patients.

Mr. Hufford obtained his undergraduate degree in information sciences from Drexel University and is currently pursuing an executive master of business administration degree from Drexel.

John “Jack” Hueter
CEO of Digital Health Consulting | Health Information Exchanges and Regional Extension Centers

John “Jack” Hueter provides operational consulting services to assist healthcare organizations with strategic and tactical solutions that support the evolution of healthcare reform as the CEO of Digital Health Consulting. In this role, Hueter provides interim CIO Services, Epic executive advisory services, strategic planning, electronic medical records meaningful use implementation, and analytics solutions to support Health Information Exchanges and Regional Extension Centers.

He drives the planning and implementation of systems to support electronic medical records and operational support of legacy healthcare systems to protect the critical data needs of his clients. Hueter is a trusted advisor to the heathcare industry in the field of information technology healthcare solutions and medical records support. Prior to founding Digital Health Consulting, Hueter was a Partner at IBM’s Healthcare Division leading the U.S. East Region where he managed national and global healthcare consulting teams. Hueter spent over two decades in senior technical leadership positions related to the field of healthcare and IT. His roles included VP and CIO of Catholic Health East, one of the nation’s largest health care systems of 31 hospitals and 43000 employees, and VP and CIO of Mercy Health System and Franciscan Health System, respectively. Early in his career, he was with Ernst and Whinney as a manager in their Information Systems Consulting Team.

Joy Iocca, MSN, RN, CEN, CPHIMS

Joy oversees clinical decision support activities (CDS) across all care settings and the management of technical system design related to emergent response needs at Penn Medicine.

Michael Kanarellis
Principal | Wolf’s Advisory Group

Michael is a Principal in Wolf’s Advisory Group and the Director of Business Development and Marketing. His primary focus is to expand Wolf’s Assurance, Tax, and Advisory service lines as the firm looks to organically grow top – line revenue. He also co-leads the Firm’s Healthcare Team, where he’s a subject matter expert in healthcare information technology (IT) audit and cybersecurity.

Max Kursh, MS
Director for Community and Population Health | Cooper University Health Care

Max Kursh, MS, is Director for Community and Population Health at Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ. He is responsible for outreach, education and community benefit efforts that support Camden and neighboring communities. He recently led projects increasing access to: COVID vaccines and education; clinical services for military and first responders; and social determinant of health resources. Prior to joining Cooper, Max worked as a job developer at the University of Delaware’s Center for Disabilities Studies creating vocational training opportunities for young adults with disabilities. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and holds an MS in Health Promotion. He is a also a trained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Rick Lang

Dr. Neal Lemon

Neal has 15+ years’ experience in technology transfer and innovation management working in Germany, Ireland, Canada and the USA. Prior to joining Cooper, Dr. Lemon was an Associate Director at UPENN’s Center for Innovation (PCI), a world leader in university IP, tech development and licensing. In addition to responsibility for Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing, Dr. Lemon successfully helped faculty founders with startup formation and seed funding. In addition to his experience in technology transfer, Dr. Lemon as Director of the Targeted Therapeutics and Theranostics Program at Dublin City University, established new therapeutic development capacity from high-throughput drug screening to GMP production.

Dr. Wei Liu
Senior Data Scientist | ChristianaCare, Delaware

Dr. Wei Liu is a Senior Data Scientist at ChristianaCare, Delaware. She is leading the enterprise advance analytic initiatives with a focus on developing machine learning based predictive models and advanced analytics solutions for clinical decision support with a wide range of applications in health equity quantification and management, patient risk stratification, clinical risk prediction, population health management, and staffing prediction.

Prior to joining Christiana Care, Wei worked as a Senior Data Analyst at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she conducted advanced data analytics to support decision making of hospital operation and patient flow, and as an Industrial Engineer at MD Anderson Cancer Center focus on process optimization and quality improvement. Wei holds Master of Science in Health Systems from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009 and Ph.D in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in 2017.

Gemma Lowery
Virtual Health Program Manager | ChristianaCare

Gemma Lowery is the Center for Virtual Health Technology Manager for ChristianaCare. She also serves as a member of multiple committees for the Delaware Telehealth Coalition and acts as an Advisory Board member of the Mid-Atlantic Telehealth Resource Center (MATRC). Prior to her current role, she was the eICU Operations Coordinator for the health system. In 2016, Ms. Lowery was one of the inaugural students to complete the in-person Certified Advanced Telehealth Coordinator course offered by the University of Delaware after assisting in the creation of the eICU module.

Gemma is now the course instructor and UD Telehealth Director. She is an alumni of University of Delaware for her undergraduate studies and holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Wilmington University. Gemma, believes that telehealth and virtual tools provide methods of delivering healthcare to patients that can help expand access to care and equalize current healthcare disparities.

Nassar Nizami
Executive Vice President, Chief Information and Digital Officer Security Officer | Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health

Nassar Nizami is the Executive Vice President, Chief Information and Digital Officer at Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, one of nation’s fastest growing academic health institutions. He is responsible for Jefferson’s information technology strategic plan, digital transformation initiative, cybersecurity and enterprise data analytics strategy.
Prior to joining Jefferson, Nassar was VP, Deputy Information Systems at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. In this role, he was responsible for all clinical systems and led the technology transformation of system hospitals. Previously, Nassar served at Yale-New Haven Health System in various roles, including the first Chief Information Security Officer for the entire health system.

Luke Olenoski
Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer | Main Line Health

Luke has nearly 20 years of experience in Information Technology leadership. In his role as Chief Information Officer, he leads an organization responsible for the strategy, planning and implementation of Information Technology and Cybersecurity across the system. Main Line Health has been consistently named to CHIME HealthCare’s Most Wired list since 2008.

Prior to joining Main Line Health, Luke was with the Vanguard Group where he served in executive leadership roles for the firm’s IT and Audit organizations. He led multi-year global transformation programs in the areas of IT Operations and Cybersecurity. Throughout his career, he established a strong track record of marrying technology solutions to strategic business opportunities.

He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Villanova University and an Executive M.B.A. from Villanova University, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma. Luke plays an active role in the greater Philadelphia area community, supporting youth sports programs and serving as an adjunct faculty member for Villanova’s graduate programs.

Jon Pomeroy
Associate Director, IS Clinical Initiatives | Penn Medicine

Jon Pomeroy is an experienced Clinical Informaticist and Internal Medicine Physician with a demonstrated history of working in the health care industry. Jon has served in lead positions involving clinical operations, clinical decision support, clinical informatics, predictive healthcare, care coordination, and information technology. He speaks all over the country on topics regarding clinical decision support, predictive healthcare, and novel approaches to EHR design. As a certified Epic builder, Jon has developed EHR tools for clinical workflows such as opioid use disorder, clinical documentation improvement, stroke tracking, sepsis tracking, and surgical pathways.

Linda A. Reed
Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer | St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson New Jersey

Ms. Reed has been with SJH since February of 2016. Prior to that Ms. Reed was with Atlantic Health System and Virtua Health, two of New Jersey’s largest health systems, serving in a variety of roles including Vice President and CIO.

As CIO, Ms. Reed is responsible for planning, acquiring and implementing information and telecommunications technologies. Her role includes oversight of system implementations, project management, application development, platform and network infrastructure management, information security, business analytics, web/mobile development, telecommunications, clinical engineering, and customer service and support.

In addition to guiding information technology at SJH, Ms. Reed has been actively involved with leading technological change in health care for New Jersey. Ms. Reed is one of the founders of Jersey Health Connect, one of four state grant-funded Health Information Exchanges. Jersey Health Connect allows member hospitals and provider organizations to access and update information about patients within the network.

Ms. Reed is a long-standing member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and has served as a member of the Board of Trustees. Ms. Reed is a CHIME Fellow and holds CHIME’s Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) credential. Ms. Reed serves on a number of health information technology groups including the AHA’s Interoperability work group. Ms. Reed has been recognized in Becker’s Hospital Review’s “100 Hospital CIO’s to know” as well as their “24 Female Hospital and Health System CIO’s to know”. Ms. Reed was a long-standing board member for the Francis E. Parker Memorial Nursing Home and serves on the board of the Healthcare Employees Federal Credit Union in Princeton, NJ. Ms. Reed has also served a number of strategic healthcare IT advisory councils and is currently the Chairperson of the CAQH Core Board.

Ms. Reed has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. a Master of Science in nursing with distinction from Pace University in Peekskill, NY, and a Master of Business Administration from Widener University in Chester, PA. Currently, Steaphine is serving as the Director of Operations at Christiana Care Health System, a Magnet health organization over 1,100 beds between its two hospitals (Christiana hospital and Wilmington Hospital) and the only Level 1 trauma service on the East Coast corridor between Philadelphia & Baltimore. She currently resides in Middletown, DE.

Rich Temple
Vice President / Chief Information Officer | Deborah Heart and Lung Center

Rich Temple has over 30 years of healthcare experience at all levels. He is currently the Vice President / Chief Information Officer for the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, an 85-bed nationally renowned cardiovascular specialty hospital in Browns Mills, NJ. Rich also serves as Deborah’s HIPAA Security Officer.

Prior to his role at Deborah, Rich spent a number of years in the consulting space including stints as the founder of Richard Temple & Associates, a consultancy specializing in healthcare advisory and strategy as well as serving as the National Practice Director for IT Strategy for Beacon Partners (now KPMG).

Additionally, Rich has also worked as Vice President / Chief Information Officer for both the Saint Clare’s Health System in Denville, NJ and for AristaCare Health Services, which runs several long-term care facilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Earlier in his career, Rich worked for McKesson Provider Technologies and Health Management Systems on revenue cycle optimization projects. Rich has also served as President, Secretary, and Board Member of the statewide Chapter of HIMSS in New Jersey.

Aaron Truchil

Aaron Truchil serves as the Senior Director of Analytics at the Camden Coalition, where he oversees the organization’s applied data and research activities aimed at improving care for individuals with complex health and social needs. Aaron leads a variety of data initiatives that support the South Jersey region, including an integrated data system (Camden ARISE) that links individual-level data from across a multitude of sectors, a regional Community Health Information Exchange that integrates real-time data for care coordination and population health efforts, as well as a care management application that allows nurses, social workers and community health workers to develop authentic healing relationships with their clients. John Wetzel
Founding Director | Keystone Restituere Justice Center

John Wetzel, the former Pennsylvania Secretary of Corrections, began his career in corrections in 1989 as an officer at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility. He transferred to the Berks County Prison, where he was a correctional officer, treatment counselor, supervisor of treatment services, and training academic director. From there, he became warden of the Franklin County Jail in 2002. Wetzel was appointed as the corrections expert for the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons in June 2007 and confirmed as Secretary of Corrections in 2011. He retired in 2021 as the longest serving Secretary of Corrections in the history of PA. Wetzel is currently the CEO of Phronema Justice Strategies, LLC. He is also the Founding Director of the Keystone Restituere Justice Center, a non-profit focusing on PA county criminal justice programs and national reform work, set to launch this year. John is the father of four daughters and a graduate of Bloomsburg University.

Deborah C Wojcik, PT, MEd, DHSc

Debbie Wojcik holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia as well as a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Temple University. She is a graduate of Hahnemann University Programs in Physical Therapy in Philadelphia, PA. Debbie also holds a Doctorate in Health Sciences from Radford University.

In her many years of experience, Debbie has worked in many clinical settings with an emphasis on the medically complex patient. Six years ago, Debbie transitioned to a Healthcare Informatics role as part of a team integrating clinical workflows with electronic systems including electronic health records. Currently, she is the IT Director of Instructional Design and Training at Virtua Health System in southern New Jersey.

Debbie is also currently a part-time faculty member in the DPT program at Neumann University in Aston, PA. For the last 30 years, she has served as adjunct faculty at a number of PT programs in the Philadelphia area including Drexel University, Widener University and Rutgers University. Her teaching responsibilities have included Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy as well as Exercise Physiology, Pathophysiology and the role of physical therapy for the medically complex patient.

Yuchen Zhang

Yuchen Zhang attended Nankai University in China where she majored and developed interests in Industrial Engineering (IE) and process operations. She then pursued higher education in the same area and obtained her master’s degree of science from University of Pennsylvania in US. After graduation, Yuchen started her career in healthcare industry at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) as a research assistant at Center for Autism Research. After that, to expose to more data analytics and management domain as well as hospital operations, she moved on as a data analyst supporting Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) frontier program and High Value Pharmacy program, where she contributed on various of process improvement projects, one of which won the 2017 Pediatric Quality Award Waste Reduction category from the Children’s Hospital Association. Yuchen currently is a Senior Business Intelligence Developer at Christiana Care, continuing her journey and enthusiasm in data and healthcare. In her spare time, Yuchen also loves to write songs and attempts to seal pieces of memories in songs.
